Kevin Dip hired as Collection System Maintenance Supervisor

Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) is pleased to announce the hiring of Kevin Dip as CVSan’s Collection System Maintenance Supervisor. Kevin has been a CVSan employee since 2007 and has served in positions of increasingly greater responsibility, including most recently as one of CVSan’s Senior Collection System Maintenance Workers. He will now oversee CVSan’s Collection System Maintenance (CSM) Department. The CSM Department conducts preventive maintenance of CVSan’s wastewater collection system and maintains approximately 160 miles of public sewer mains and eight pump stations.

Kevin is a Bay Area native who has dedicated his professional career to serving the Castro Valley community. He holds a Grade 3 Collection System Maintenance Certification from the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) and was an integral member of CVSan’s CSM Department when CVSan last won CWEA’s Small Collection System of the Year Award. Kevin has also been a CWEA San Francisco Bay Section committee member for over 10 years. Kevin stated, " I am very excited to step in and provide strong leadership to the great team here at CVSan. Having completed 17 years of service on Castro Valley’s sewer system, I take great pride in taking over the reins for our maintenance and inspection operations. The main goal in my mind is to continue to successfully convey every drop of wastewater to the treatment plant!"
